My Epiphany!

e·piph·a·ny A comprehension or perception of reality by means of
a sudden intuitive realization:

I just had an epiphany! I may not have gotten around to baking cookies this holiday season, but I sure have whipped up a lot of royal icing. While I was in Texas, we made graham cracker houses. This was my first time to do so with these granddaughters.

The elves were happy to help with this task.

It takes a lot of concentration to build a masterpiece.

We managed to put almost every bit of candy bought on these pieces of cracker real estate.

It was fun for me to be able to carry on this family tradition with my Texas cowgirls.

  3. I love, love, love that first photo! Did Beth take it? So cute! Isn't all the color and sugar festive?! The boys and I are baking cookies today; I don't this the graham cracker houses will happen this year as the two year old has NO CONTROL when it comes to eating candy.

  7. Wow!
    I wish I was
    a little doll
    so I could stroll
    through those streets
    eating treats
    wherever I would go.

  11. Those little ladies are beautiful! So are their magical looking houses. So, I'd say you are completely excused from baking cookies!

  12. Yay for gingerbread house fun with Gramma, and Main Street Bethlehem with Gramma, and shopping and story telling and....

Thanks for coming! We loved every minute of it.

And, though one of our cuties is missing from the mixer picture, we're okay with that - she had gone to bed already. If she'd been up, it would've been mass destruction in candyland!
