A Magpie Equation: t (c + exp) = ME

Time applied to
character and experience
combine to squeeze
us into who we are
leaving me with
few regrets, but one.

Sadly, time chose
not to twist
me to match
its curvy figure eight.

Instead,
I've become round
probably from rolling
with life's punches.

  1. Well, round isn't so bad, Stevie...I like that better than square....sure do like that picture of you with the sweet grandbaby. I'm still waiting for baby news though I don't think it will be forthcoming any time soon.

  3. Stevie, since we are named similarly, I can say this to YOU. The beauty of your smile, and the twinkle in your eyes is what any 'normal' Peep sees.

As for 'roundness' I do not know, but protons, neutrons, electrons, and on down--or up--to the wheel, vortex of a storm, stars, planets...are these all not fairly well-rounded? And what about education? (as in well-rounded education--BIG grin here!!!)

  5. This was fun -- I like the equation and loved "Sadly, time chose
    not to twist
    me to match
its curvy figure eight" this can be taken so many ways.

  6. Very poetic Stevie. You do these prompts so well. Enjoy Elijah's visit!

That lovely Rhine house in my post was now just used as the Beringer tasting/sales center, but it did have some lovely stained glass windows I might show on a future post.
