Tall sunflowers waving in the wind. Tall garden phlox perfuming the summer air. Butterflies flitting through the garden. Watching my crazy dog sleep in the sun on a blistering hot day. Finding cheerful posts of blogging friends.
What lifts my spirits right now? I love being able to open the doors first thing in the morning and hear the sounds of summer! The birds are tweeting, roosters crowing, and the occasional lawn mower, mowing! I am not sure why but I have been having a hard time leaving a comment, this is my 4th attempt. It is my computer, so I am going to try leave it as anonymous. I hope this works! denise
sloppy wet kisses from my puppies and the feel of their warm bodies snuggled up with me at night always makes me feel like all is right in the world.
i was thinking about you today. a little red-haired girl was in the store with her grandma and i swear she looked like your grands so much. hope all is well with you!
The ocean can lift my spirits like nothing else. I am so fortunate to be only about three miles from the Pacific. I love its many moods and seeing the sun set into the water is especially soothing to me.
I also love fields of daisies and bright orange California poppies!
Hummingbirds, time creating art, planting flowers in the garden. Dancing, hanging with my young friends who actually seem to think this old lady is cool...the laughter of my little niece...a good movie, holding hands with my husband...
I was just thinking how birdsong eases my soul each time I hear it...and the sound of waves and fog horns...and my grandchildren...and ginger ice cream:)

Being serenaded by our resident song thrush on a summer's evening. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI'm in agreement with most of the above too.
Love the pic of you and your blog visitors.
