Merrily, Merrily

I'm trying to get the lights on my Christmas tree.

I've been to the store twice.

Once to buy them.

And once to exchange the ones I bought with white electrical cords for the ones I need with green cords.

And this is after I spent three+ hours getting the old (non-working) lights off my pre-lit tree.

Next time I will buy a new pre-lit tree and be done with it!

Ah....the holiday season is upon us!  ; )

Mine is not yet fully assembled....

Update: The tree is up and the lights are on it!  Now onward to ornament placement. I will get this done!

  9. I don't like the white corded Christmas lights, even for outside...except against something white maybe! I so hope my tree doesn't need new lights, will know later this week!

  11. How gorgeous, and so big, we don't have a tree anymore, but our son and DIL also have a huge one too. Pop over to my etsy shop for some reductions in prices till the end of 2011

  13. I first looked at this post on my phone and thought that was your own tree...and thought, Wow, that's bigger than I remembered! :-)

  15. My husband always does the lights, which is a good thing because I am the world's foremost tangler of anything tangleable! Hubby did the lights last weekend and the tree looks lovely. He also did the garland and the angel on top. Now I'm slowly adding the ornaments... so many memories! Even though I'm decorating alone, I feel surrounded by family, friends and the "ghosts" of my children when they were small! Merry Christmas to you!

  16. Beautiful! I always do the lights to because I have more patience. We stopped having a pre-lit tree years ago because when the lights go out it's a booger! ha ha

I'm glad you stopped by and I look forward to your comments. As Dr. Fraser Crane would say, "Hello, I'm listening."
