  1. Hope you get to do some sitting in the swing above the azalias, Steph...the spent flower droppings on the deck from the trees remind me of the raking I will will soon have to do when all the trees here start to shed theirs.

  2. Random photos are always best. What is that green thing? How I love that colour!

  3. Good question Soul. It's a Vaseline glass vase that belonged to my grandmother. I looked up the definition so I could explain what it is and I learned something I didn't know.

Vaseline glass is a yellow green glass that is made by adding 2% Uranium Dioxide to the glass mixture when making the piece. So glass looks like Vaseline, but only true Vaseline glass will glow bright green under a ultraviolet light (blacklight).

So now I need to get a blacklight and test whether or not my vase is actually Vaseline or one of the look alikes. All I know is that my grandmother had it all of my life.

  7. These are all great. Very artfully done. The aloe looks like a monster with big teeth.

  8. I love your new banner, so springy! Your grandson has a beautiful head of hair! I hope your town is recovering from the tornado it had earlier this year. You have inspired me to get out there and take some random pictures! I have been feeling very creative the past few days! I hope it lasts. I didn't realize how much I have missed blogging! I also got a new computer, learning how to download pictures and all sorts of things! My old computer was just so slow! That was part of the reason for my lack of posts! I mean it was slllloooowww!
Have a wonderful rest of the day!

I'm glad you stopped by and I look forward to your comments. As Dr. Fraser Crane would say, "Hello, I'm listening."
