I love the pic. Actually I think I enjoy this one more, but it looks like you could do a series of three. On the next one maybe you could take the view even wider! (Maybe you already had that idea)
I mean in the first one it looks like a close up view. Then in the second one you see more of the picture. Maybe on the third you could show some buildings or a park bench.
It's me, Lavinia, at a total loss for words! (mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water....)
Well, this is so touching. It really is. I have just saved it and now wish I was at my desk at work so I could print it off on the colour printer (several copies!)!!!
Steviewren, this is so beatiful. I love everything about it. The colours, the bird nest on top of the head, everything.
Will you please contact me at my email (its on the front of my blog) because I would like to buy the original from you and frame it and put it in a place of honour on my wall.
You are a true artist. Also, please let me know if I can post that picture on my blog, with a link to your site if that's okay. I want everyone to see this.
Guess what? As I was writing my previous comment on this post, I had eggs frying up for my dad in the kitchen. I totally forgot about them as I wrote, and when I finished I went into the kitchen to find them almost burnt! well, I can't serve those up to my dad so they are going to the back patio as a tasty dinner for the racoons tonight, I guess, or the stray cats. Now frying up a couple more ..d'oh! (...sounds of laughter)!
I will make it 13. Busy day but I wanted to let you know I stop by every day and I appreciate your art work. I am curious did you go to art school? I do not see anything about that in your profile. I do not want to pry, just curious. My daughter graduated from Pratt in New York.
Found you via Lavinia... How incredibly perfect for her...She is so delightful and you have captured that from the top of her head to the bottom of her birdbath! Love your work...Dee Dee
Look beyond the picket fence, I haven't gone to art school but I did take art classes when I attended my local community college. I have taken watercolor classes from a very talented watercolorist also. I have been doing some sort of artsy crafty things since I was a pre-teen. When my kids were at home I had a craft business along with a friend. We sold our stuff at 2 local shops and attend craft fairs. I wish I could attend a really good art college though. That would be so much fun. What does your daughter do with her degree? I think I remember you mentioning that she designs websites?
My daughter is a assitant art director for a department store. You are very talented and blogging gives you an outlet to show that to the rest of us. I have always wanted to take an art class. It is all around me. My other daughter, her boyfriend's mother owns an art studio. I will put that on the do to list. Denise
I like your originality. Very thought provoking. I'm sure Lavinia will enjoy. How's Alabama these days anyway?
ReplyDeleteRainy tonight. I hope tomorrow will be sunny.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment. I worry about being original. There is nothing new under the sun which makes it hard on originality.

ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by wider? i am still thinking of earth mother themes. Any interpretations are welcome.

ReplyDeleteOh got ya, I was thinking of adding little furry animals around the bottom of the birdbath.
ReplyDeleteSteviewren! I'm speechless! Astonished! Pleased beyond description!
