I love a parade, especially a Christmas parade!
On Friday we toured Main Street Bethlehem in Burnet Texas. On Saturday afternoon we returned for the Christmas parade. While we waited we wandered around the town square browsing the craft booths set up there.
We shopped some in a Christmas shop filled to bursting with treats, goodies and Christmas decorations.
Would you like to buy ornaments for your cowboy Christmas tree?
Or listen to some real good fiddlin ya'll.
The girls kicked and scuffed in the dirt and managed to meet a cowboy while they were at it.
It's almost time for the parade!
Finally! Toss some of that candy this way please!
We finished the night off by viewing a local Cedar Park home decorated with 75,000 lights synchronized to music that can be picked up by tuning your car radio to the correct frequency.
Then it was home for some rest. A good time was had by all.
This parade is SO Texas! Looks like you had loads of fun! :)
ReplyDeleteOh Stevie - thanks so much for posting this. I don't know if you knew or not, but I'm a transplant to NY from San Angelo, Texas. Yep, lil' ole' San Angelo. I miss it so very much. They don't have Christmas Parades here, and it's been so very long since I've seen one. Thank you so much for these beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like so much fun! We need to do our traditional evening drive to see lights...the boys love it! Not sure we have any as elaborate as this home you have here! wow!
ReplyDeleteIt's seem so much fun.
ReplyDeleteLike the one in Disneyland.
Now, I love me some good fiddlin'! Not to mention a good, old-fashioned Christmas parade! The lights are fabulous. We went looking the other night, but there wasn't much up this year. Your header is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteGosh, that looks like loads of holiday excitement. Those are excellent photos. Be careful you don't fall in love with Texas and move there. (I know we love west Texas!!) Thanks for sharing. ♥ ∞
ReplyDeleteThat looks like it was a great time. So colourful. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteI love the Texas ornaments. I am sure I do not have anything cowboy related on my tree. I think I could move to Texas in a heartbeat. It would be quite a culture shock for this life long New Englander and I could use a change. Just a little venting!
ReplyDeleteThe parade looks like fun. I would love a few pieces of candy right now! Nice to see how other parts of the country celebrate!

Pardes are fun! That looks like a fun Main St., too!
ReplyDeleteI love those small town parades. Thanks for sharing the trip and pics. Merry Christmas. Strider
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a fun time! I bet Denver does something similar and I'll be seeing it someday soon when my grandson is bigger. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of your little grand daughter tentatively touching her fingert to the cowboy's! So precious!
I should get me some of them cowboy ornaments - my tree ain't got no theme.
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking your bloggiefriends to the parade with you! I had a very nice time.
I enjoyed very much your photos in this blog and the Christmas pagent in your previous blog. What brilliant efforts you have made! Thanks for doing them. - Dave
