Sunday Random After 12 am Monday Morning

Are you like me?  Do you have tons and tons of images saved to your computer simply because you liked them?  I have no idea where I found this one or who to acknowledge for it, but isn't she pretty?

Youngest son came over yesterday to hang the curtain rod that fell off the wall back up. I was so proud of myself for putting it up....but it didn't last, so I got a expert to come help me out. He brought is new kitten, Bones, who is quite a friendly fellow.

I'm still working on the baby quilt. It is almost ready for the binding. I've done lots of things incorrectly...hope it doesn't fall into the hands of the newby quilter police...I'm a goner for sure if it comes to that.

And while my mind is jumping around randomly....I watched Sister Wives on TLC Sunday night for the first time. For those of you who have no idea about this show like I didn't, it is about a plural family in Utah....polygamy in other words.  Why would any woman want to enter into that kind of relationship?  I just don't get it.

  3. Yeah. I don't get that either. I would feel that I am breeding material. That's it. I'm one of a stable.

So Tim is not allowed to bring home another wife. Since he's not a 'breeder', it doesn't seem to bother him.

  6. Not only do I have tons of "stuff" saved in my computer at home and work, but I have tons of "stuff" at home in the garage and closets that I need to get cleaned out... hopefully before real cold weather sets in. Your lady here is quite beautiful! Happy Monday, Stevie!!

  8. I couldn't live in a polygamous marriage, but kudos to the Sister Wives who can. I admire them for the love and respect they have for one another and for being able to constantly keep their jealousies in check. THAT has to be difficult.

  11. Yes--and sometimes I get afraid to use such images just in case someone complains or worse. (sigh) I actually had to deal with someone's harshness along those lines lately! But all is well now, I hope.

I have hundreds, maybe thousands of images I've saved on my computer. I love each and every one of them--some are cards and postcards I've scanned, which were once in my sweet little Grammie's collection, others are from my Friend Nita, and still others come from my dear Gramma Gladys.

I love this picture--and I hope you don't mind, but I'd like to add it to my "cyber" collection.

  12. I could never share my husband with another wife. I can't imagine how they don't get jealous!

My second expected grandchild will be a BOY and not a girl -- the second sonogram showed the proof ..a big, but happy, surprise for all of us! So now they have lots of boy things to pass down. :)

  13. Funny you should mention Sister Wives. I caught a few episodes of it recently too and find myself intrigued by their ability to share a man this way.. to share themselves as one family is difficult for me to fathom. But I find myself liking the women.. all intelligent, funny people. As for the husband, I saw him speak his thoughts on the possibility of one of his wives (the first, I think) having more than the one man in her life and he referred to it as a "vulgarity." That had me snarling at the hypocrisy.

  16. I was wondering if you had posted a picture of your youngest son's kitten. You didn't in this post; however, i see along your right margin that there is a picture posted. It is a pretty kitty!

We have only basic cable, so we don't get TLC. I've heard of "Sister Wives". Like you, I don't understand why any woman would want to enter into that type of relationship.

  17. That show is one of the reasons why I don't have cable. I'd never leave the couch between watching that and Hoarders, and that picky eater show....can't remember it's name. I happened to turn on the tv while on vacation in September and it was satellite! I had to force myself to turn off the thing!

I'm glad you stopped by and I look forward to your comments. As Dr. Fraser Crane would say, "Hello, I'm listening."
