The Guessing Game

Can you guess who this cute girl grew up and became?

How about this 40s ingenue? Do you remember her name? Her hairdo was all the rage and even today it is the iconic "hollywood starlet" look.

You will probably recognize this fellow, albeit most of us won't recognize his well behaved hair style.

  1. i'm thinking the last one is einstein but i'm not sure. i'm never good at these things. can't wait to find out, though.

  2. I will guess Audrey Hepburn,
    Veronica Lake and Albert Einstein. I need to talk to you. I have been thinking all day that I may have portrayed myself as having it all together and super content with everything. That is so not true. You have been on my mind and I just wanted you to know that I still have a zillion frustrations even though most of the time I try to convince myself everything is O-TAY! Is that bad? I hope not, but I just don't want to portray myself as 'so all together'. That is not me.

  4. Julie, thank you so much for the award. I really do appreciate it very much. Don't we have a wonderful community of interesting blogger friends? I enjoy visiting your blog and seeing all of your artwork. You have found the magic pill that every artist strives for...originality. Thanks again!

    Nanatrish, I am not naive enough nor young enough to think anybody has it all together anymore. But with that said, I do think it is a blessing to be content with your life. Or just content most of the time. Don't feel as though you need to apologize for saying what you feel. Enjoy your blessings. I like knowing content people. They bless me.

    Betsy, thank you for your care and concern. I am sure that the cloud is from health issues...nothing terrible, just a combination of things...menopause...which will eventually pass...I found out I have hypothyroidism, which has caused a lot of lethargy, and maybe a little depression. If I wasn't so lethargic I could get busy with a crafty project or some artsy thing and amuse myself and banish the cloud that way. I am on meds for the thyroid so hopefully that will get fixed and sooner or later the menopause thing will surely end. Thank you for praying. You are a special woman. You have a special way of noticing and caring for others. I have noticed that from your posts to others in this blog community.

  6. Phot #2--Veronica Lake. Never knew about who she was until--in high school--perhaps about the time you were born 40+ years ago, because of my hairdo (and I found out later she too was a strawberry blonde) I was compared to her. Funny thing. About three years ago, I returned to the hair style of my last years of high school, and a gentleman 10+ years older than me said I reminded him of Veronica Lake and asked if I knew about her.

  7. Yes, Audrey Hepburn, Veronica Lake and Albert Einstein. I really didn't peep at the others answers...really. ;)

    Hey, if ever you need a shoulder...I also have hypothyroidism...and am menopausal. Neither of which are fun. At least I can say "this too shall pass" to at least one of these things! :)

  8. Audrey Hepburn, Veronica Lake and Einstein?

    I also have hypothyroidism due to having my thyroid gland removed because I was hyperthyroid with a toxic adenoma and papillary cancer. I completely sympathize with you ... I was going through menopause at the time, too, and it felt like I was going crazy with all kinds of physical and mental struggles. It took almost a year but I finally got regulated and the pieces fit back into the puzzle. If you ever want to talk about it just contact me through my e-mail {{{{ hugs}}}}

  9. I disqualify myself for noticing that the jpeg names show up when you click on each of the images. I love the guessing game concept, I've done similar in the past. Fun stuff. Just best to rename the jpeg before posting. Thanks for the fun! :)

  10. oops Hilary, that did make it easy didn't it. When I hover over the image and click on it the names don't show for me. Oh well, I'll change the names if there is a next time.

    And of course, you have all guessed correctly. I knew you would. You are all such a group of smarty pants....ooops I meant to say smart women! tehe tehe
