My mother has always had the best nails. They've always been painted a bright color, they grow out long and pretty and they don't break very easily. Sadly, I didn't inherit them.
Thanks about the ring. It is turquoise. I love jewelry and wear rings that match my outfits everyday. I got that from mother too.
Stevie, I have 3 kinds of arthritis and it's not much fun. Your mother's nails look great. My nails never look good. Your mom has a great manicure. I'll be looking forward to seeing a picture of your mom. I have small hands for such a tall girl.
You have such interesting posts. I have noticed that my knuckles are thickening. It takes a little stretching to get them going in the morning. I will agree with everyone else, love the polish! Makes me think I should take a few minutes today to paint my nails! denise
Although faces fade, for some reason I can remember very clearly my mother's hands as well as my father's. Perhaps it's because faces change so with time -we don't know which to remember the young, the mature, the older. But hands, even with time and the ravages of arthritis - alway look essentially the same and are always there to hold.
Trish, surprisingly my mother says she has no pain with her arthritis. She has been eating health food for 40+ years.
Lavinia, I haven't been home yet to check my mail today but I haven't received your cards yet. I'll email when I do. About mother, she has always done her own nails. I don't think she's ever had a 'real' manicure.
Denise, my hands tend to be stiff in the morning too, especially if I've been using them a lot on projects and stuff.
Muse and Pamela, I took pictures of mother's and daddy's hands not long ago. I had been thinking of how much mother's have grown to look just as I remembered Bigmother's hands. It dawned on me that I should record them for my children.
YOu gotta love DNA! You know, research has proven that the more birthdays you have, the longer you live!!!!! Glad I could pass this on to you! :-) Have a good day.
But aging with grace. I love your sapphire(?) ring and her long, bright red nails.
