Memories are the treasures that we keep locked deep within the storehouse of our souls, to keep our hearts warm when we are lonely.
Becky Aligada
Smile, it is the key that fits the lock of everybody's heart.
Anthony J. D'Angelo
If smiles are silver,
then memories are gold.
Each remaining forever
a blessing to unfold.
Make a memory with someone today
Smile at a stranger along the way.
Hearts will be mended
Souls soon tended.
Whenever life is sad or rough
these small kindnesses will be enough.

I love the first quote the best Stevie, as that is how I look upon travel. I am hoping the memories of all the places I've visited will keep me occupied and entertained when I am old :-)
ReplyDeleteYou wrote that! I love it...your words even more than the first quote. So very true. ♥
ReplyDeleteJust wonderful Stevie. Art in words.
ReplyDeleteYour poem is good for the soul Stevie. I really like those two quotes too, I'm going to write them down so I don't forget them. The image fits the words completely - it's beautiful. Thank you.

Lovely post! I was thinking who is SWB? Then, I thought it must be you. Had I missed in the post where you mentioned, that you wrote the poem? So, I read it again. No mention of it there. The poem, means a lot to me right now. I am still dealing with the loss of my brother and I am watching my parents do the same. We have our memories and everyday are hearts are mended and his soul is tended to, everyday.
ReplyDeleteI am going overboard, but it has touched me.
