When I was a youngster, this was my all-time favorite hymn...I loved the solemnity of the verses, juxtaposed with the rejoicing in the chorus. I can remember the music minister having us start out seated, during the "Low in the grave he lay..." part, and then everyone would rise during the "Up from the grave..." part.
