I stopped on my way home from work to let Rachel shine a flashlight into my eyes. Are my pupils the same size? My head hurts. Yep, I almost gave myself a concussion for Valentine's Day.
How you ask? I fell out of my chair. You know one of those chairs on wheels that you can slide around the office floor. But, if you lean over too far, sometimes it will slide out from under you. You know the one? Yep, I fell out. Banged my head so hard on the desk it stunned me a bit.
I'm okay. Not much harm done. Happy Valentine's to me!
(before you say it....I was told to go to the doctor if I thought I needed to....I went to Dr. Rachel's...just to get a second opinion)
But, it worked out well, because I got to kiss someone(s) I love. And someone I love had made a present for me.
A handmade card (see the pretty picture and the scribble scrabble handwriting?) from my little buddy and something yummy were in a pretty bag labeled GaGa. That's me....GaGa. Elijah named me himself.
He and Mommy made the lollipop together today. I have it from a reliable source that the pop tastes like Ghiradelli white chocolate and peppermints. I'll eat it later. I'm not through looking at it yet.
Oh gosh, I hope you're doing ok! Yikes! Love your gifts! How sweet!
ReplyDeleteAwww... your gifts are so cute! What a fun surprise! Sorry about your head... hope you are ok.
ReplyDeletehow sweet is that - hope you feel better soon. and yes, i've had a chair get away from me too

ReplyDeleteSorry about your fall, I have fallen that way off a chair - almost - on many occasions. I hope your head will be fine.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely gift too, from the best source.;)

Take care. Those head injuries can be tricky. Happy Valentines Day. Your card is cute.
ReplyDeleteI hope you reprimanded that chair, Stephanie! I know it must have hurt; I once fell while getting "on" my bike...my forehead hit the soft ground hard and I was so dazed by it. Hope all is good for you this morning.
ReplyDeleteOh my those chairs are downright dangerous!
ReplyDeleteThat sweet valentine would make me feel better too:)...My first grandchild called me Gigi and it stuck!
So, you are now Lady GaGa - quite an honor (you were probably waiting for someone to do that, so it might as well be me, right?) lol
ReplyDeleteSeriously, if I got a card like that, I'd feel pretty special, too.....and hope your head is better - ouch!!
Aaaargh!!! We have chairs like that at work, too, and I'm always stopping visitors from grabbing them from someones desk and using them. Hope you're feeling okay...those head bumps HURT! What a great little Valentine you got ... That sucker looks like a great craft and I'm making note of it now.
ReplyDeleteFeel better and stay safe out there. :-)
Oh, I hope you didn't have a whopping headache with that FREAK chair incident! OH MY! Your Valentine is PRECIOUS!
ReplyDeleteThat had to hurt! A second opinion never hurts! Seeing your grandkids must have been the best medicine! I see another artist in the family!

I don't know how many times I've come close to doing what you did. Those chairs can be dangerous! That is a cute present.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you weren't hurt! I got my first ever handmade Valentine from my grandson. His writings look like Elijah's! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that is soooo sweet! I'm not sure I could ever eat it! But then his feelings would be hurt , wouldn't they? Maybe his thoughtful mommy could make another one to keep?
ReplyDeleteGlad you're okay after your mishap! How embarrassing was that? :)
ouch! i did that once but mostly just injured my pride. :) i bet it will be sore for days and days. i love the nickname gaga!!
ReplyDeleteYour fall sounds like something I would do - with a whole office of people watching. At least, you got a sweet card and some candy for consolation!
