You guessed it

Some of you guessed it. My surmise would be that you've also been frustrated by trying to organize 10 years of unorganized photographs. Just trying to remember which year is which is giving me a headache.

My goal is not to stop this time until I get them all in a book.

  1. Mine are all in photo boxes like that and I'm not even going to try!

  3. decluttering, aha i guessed almost right. i love/hate this job....it makes me laugh and cry too. my advice is to do some and then leave it for a while and come back to it, or it will drain you.

  5. It seems that you and I started letting our photo organization go at the same time. I too, have about a decade of photos, (though mostly electronic and unprinted) to sort through. I don't envy you, but I sure to admire your ambition.

  6. I always get sidetracked by the memories, and never get it done.

  8. I know what you mean, my poor boy's books are way behind his sisters. In recent years there are other things I'd rather be doing than my scrapbooks but I've got to get back into again. Funny thing now is that it's more expensive to do the albums. ha ha

Before I got my digital camera my routine was to keep the pictures in the store envelopes as the date developed was within a month of taking the pics. Now with my digital I try to upload them weekly and the software automatically captures the date I download.

  9. Funny -- I started doing the same thing not long ago ... and then gave up! But I HAVE been putting recent photos into labeled 5"x7" white clasp envelopes, so that when I'm ready to put them into a book...
Well. You know what I mean.
    :-D

  10. Isn't it odd how the years play tricks on the memory. I wish I'd organized my cruise ship vacation photos better...now I can barely tell one island from another.....

  11. Oh oh ...I have to put so many photos in albums I don't know where to start. I did try to keep them organized by years, but not much more than that.

Thank goodness for digital photos! Now I just have to keep backing them up!

  12. I've been scanning all the photos in to the computer, cleaning them up in Photoshop and then making a cd for each album. It's only gonna take me the rest of my life, but it is fun. So far I have 1 1/2 albums done out of a bazillion.

I'm glad you stopped by and I look forward to your comments. As Dr. Fraser Crane would say, "Hello, I'm listening."
