My Scintillating Saturday

It's my turn to work today...can you feel my frustration?

As my co-workers say, we're dialing for dollars.

Sing along with me to the tune of Rawhide (for those of you old enough to remember that old western...wasn't Clint Eastwood McDreamy then?) Everyone now sing with me....Calling, calling, calling. Keep those phones a ringing....

  2. That fist photo illustrates so well how I feel when I have to work Saturday...like next weekend. I hope the work day passes by fast and your evening is long and leisurely.

  4. It seems so strange, after 21 years of covering two agencies, adult and child sexual abuse, and being on call day and night, and having my pager always clipped to my bra strap, to NOT working at all and having weekends and days and nights free. I actually did not choose for my job to end - thanks to Mayor Gavin Newsom and his $80 million in cuts to the Dept of Public Health, I will be 65 next week and trying to make ends meet on a not-s0-great pension. I must admit, it is nice not to be listening for the pager to go off and to be able to read blogs and to think of happier things.

  9. I always think of the blues brothers version of the rawhide song! I actualy printed out the lyrics for the boys last month so that I could explain the vocabulary:) A dogie is not a doggie for example! The boys had fun earning the cowboy lingo:)

I'm glad you stopped by and I look forward to your comments. As Dr. Fraser Crane would say, "Hello, I'm listening."
