Caution: Pollen Alert!

If you are allergic, you may want to postpone your trip to Alabama until allergy season passes this year.

My lime green view of the world today:

It was so bad on Tuesday a number of people came to work saying they could see it blowing in sheets across the freeway. Every car in the parking lot today was covered with it. The asphalt even had a greenish-yellow tinge.

Luckily, I don't suffer from allergies. I hope you don't either.

Well, I might have this allergy: "I used to wake up at 4 A.M. and start sneezing, sometimes for five hours. I tried to find out what sort of allergy I had but finally came to the conclusion that it must be an allergy to consciousness." -James Thurber

  1. Oh, so much pollen! And look, there are green leaves on trees. You are so far ahead of us.;) I am just about to return to my progressive photography of my birch, that still stands bare.;)
I recall similar problems when living in NC, where there was a lot of pines. My red car appeared orange at times.
Is that your car btw? It looks fancy.;)
Loved the quote in the end.;)

  2. Yes, that tree pollen drives me crazy. I have medication I take just during this time of year, or any time of year there is heavy pollen. You must have lots of pine and oak trees in your area.

  7. Personally I have only mild allergic reactions to pollen. My husband, on the other hand, suffers quite a bit from pollen.

  10. Oh it's so not that bad here, thankfully! But we get the nasty, wretched cedar junk from Dec-Feb, and that was horrible for those of us allergic to it.

Spring pollens haven't been nearly as bad on me, thank the Lord!!

  12. That's what my shoes will look like after a walk through my yard in about 3 weeks. I just developed allergies the last couple of years. I've had a sore throat for weeks.
