Busy Week

Lots of crafting, craziness, card games of War, storytelling, cooking, dish-washing, laughing and visiting have been going on in my house this week. It is quiet today. They've gone to visit the Mod Family for the day.

Overheard while making clothes for paperdolls:

The oldest, Elizabeth, was having a hard time making her bathing suit fit the doll properly. She was frustrated because the top of the paperdoll's underwear was showing. I'd told her repeatedly that it couldn't be helped...Then her younger sister piped up and said.

"She's a perfectionist like mother!"

Then Elizabeth said: "Well, if you were a firstborn you would be a perfectionist too."

From the mouths of a seven and a nine year old...who are both going on thirty it seems.

Anyway...it's been real....real fun!

  2. ...this was certainly true in my family...and no I wasn't the first born:)

Very creative time going on here...did you design the paperdolls?...I had more fun with paperdolls when I was a child than I did with regular dolls...

  10. Losing a job that you didn't leave first sucks. I have been fired, told to pack my bags and leave, because I was not sufficient, three times. I soldiered on and found better places eventually. So will you. Love your blog and Magpie. I'll have to fly back there for a visit soon.

I'm glad you stopped by and I look forward to your comments. As Dr. Fraser Crane would say, "Hello, I'm listening."
