Today was one of those fall days that start out wet and foggy and end little improved.

But one postitive thing can be said about overcast days.

Dark dreary skies make a perfect backdrop for bright fall color.

I'm off to meet a friend for Chinese food and to see the Quantum of Solace. Hope you have plans for time well spent tonight also!

  1. Those are beautiful photos.

Our day was like that too. Overcast, wet, kinda yucky. That's OK, though, one can't enjoy a sunny day if one hasn't first experienced the dreary day. And God is with us no matter what the weather.

Hope you enjoyed the Chinese! I had frozen pizza. Tomorrow is Mexican night at my favorite restaurant. YUM! ♥ ∞

  2. Our day was ALSO that way. It was the oddest thing -- foggy all day. I drove 50 miles and never got out of the fog, at noon no less. Weird. But you're so right -- the overcast wet days make those colors GLOW.

  3. What a fun evening you have planned! I've tucked the boys in bed and am watching "What Not To Wear"....not quite as fun...well, maybe if I had yummy Chinese food to go with....

Our weekend is supposed to be gloomy and rainy.

  4. Had Chinese today with my son and his family today...good choice for a friday I guess!

  5. Hey, I had Chinese today, too!

Fall colors against a grey sky is one of my most favorite things in the whole world.

  6. Pouring rain here today too, and I was too sick to go out to do my Civil War Veteran research volunteer work :-(

Your plans for the day sound wonderful!

I want to go see "The Secret Lives Of Bees" with a friend, as we both enjoyed the book at our book club. Did you see that movie yet?

  7. That echoes our weather here. Let us know what you think of the new movie...

  8. It seems like the weather is dreary in quite a few places! I spent Friday night out with a friend. I had a pomegranate martini and we shared a pizza.

  9. Those are beautiful photos. I especially like the first one! :)

  10. Wonderful photos.. that first one in particular is a keeper. Beautiful!

I'm glad you stopped by and I look forward to your comments. As Dr. Fraser Crane would say, "Hello, I'm listening."
