It doesn't taste as good as your starting to feel! Diet Coke is NOT good for you! ICK - NASTY chemicals! Your children and grandchildren need their Grandma around for many, many more years!
You can do it! I pretty much gave them up a few years ago -- after about a year of no soda, I started letting myself have ONE root beer on Saturday. It gets me through the craving... :-)
you've been doing so good! that's fantastic seeing how you went cold turkey.
ReplyDeleteDeep cleansing breaths, Stevie. Take a pencil and sit down and draw a blind contour of a coke can. Just for kicks.
ReplyDeleteThere. I knew you'd forget all about it...
No, no, no! Draw it out... theraputic...

I used to be a Pepsi addict.;) But the softdrink is not as popular as in the US, so I naturally stopped.;) Hang in there.

Be strong. :) You can do it!
ReplyDeleteEvery time we open the fridge at Frank's place, his parrot Lucy makes the sound of a pop can opening. And it sounds so real. You'd hate her! ;)
What did you replace the soda with? Maybe you just need a little caffeine!
ReplyDeleteBe strong! I can only imagine how hard it must be. I would believe the first weeks are the hardest! We are all there for you.

You are being SO good! Keep up the good work. You'll be glad you did. The first week's the hardest.
ReplyDeleteYou want one, but you don't NEED one! Drink water.... a nice big glass of cold fresh water. It is a much better, healthier thrist quencher.
ReplyDeleteHang in there! You can do it!
(I yelled that to a lot of NYC marathon runners this weekend..lol)
