I have never heard of this beautiful spot. Of course living in New England it would be more than a day trip for me, but I would love to see it one day! What is the rest of the story? I guess I will have to come back tomorrow. denise
It's pretty sad that, in all my years of going back and forth to GA, spending time in Atlanta, etc, I've never been to Lookout Mountain. It seems beautiful. I've been to the Swiss Alps, to Alberta and the Canadian Rockies, to the Andes in Argentina, and, of course, to the Sierras in Lake Tahoe and I've seen other mountain but I've missed those closest to my birthplace.
Oh my, that sunset pic is fabulous! I was there about 20 years ago. We were camping and it was stinkin' hot and humid. And we didn't have a/c in our camper!
It appears as though it was a picture-perfect day for a trip up Lookout Mountain; love the sunset picture!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are having a good time. I have been here a couple of times. Beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteI think N. C. Wyeth must be up there helping God out with the clouds. Glorious is right!
ReplyDeleteWhen you see somewhere like this you realize - yes, there IS a God!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love Lookout Mountain.
ReplyDeleteWhat a view! And that sunset is wonderful! What a fun time...can't wait for the rest of the story! :)
