Amazing! I would lurve to see it, could easily spend hours there looking at it. They kind of remind me of your hand that you have but only the bigger one. ha ha
I was able to see quite a few of his pieces at a show at the Brooklyn Museum a few years ago and I have to admit that I wasn't fond of them...too grotesque for me...and I love abstract and modern art...
The man has a taste for sleeping? Dunno. Interesting. Very realistic. But I don't like them. They give me the creeps. Like I'm watching someone from a closet in his or her bedroom. That and the fact that they are giants. Those two things.
I also saw his exhibit at The Brooklyn Museum (...too bad I didn't know Oliaag then!) I was fascinated by the realism in his works. One piece was a giant new born baby...it was exquisite!
I have seen his exhibition in my town. I believe one of his sculptures is on constant display at the entrance to the art museum here. I find his work very interesting, even though slightly provocative and at times odd.;) xo Zuzana
Freaky indeed! To answer your question about the enevelopes, I did not decorate the them. I think what you were seeing was the background of the card before I glued the apple to it. denise

ReplyDeleteI think I would be captivated and a little creeped out at the same time. (Ultimately, I'd probably run from the room, squealing like a little girl!)

Oh I've seen these before .. they're quite startling, aren't they? I think it would be quite the experience to see the actual exhibit.
