I've been to the store twice.
Once to buy them.
And once to exchange the ones I bought with white electrical cords for the ones I need with green cords.
And this is after I spent three+ hours getting the old (non-working) lights off my pre-lit tree.
Next time I will buy a new pre-lit tree and be done with it!
Ah....the holiday season is upon us! ; )
Decorated tree by Google Images
Mine is not yet fully assembled....
Update: The tree is up and the lights are on it! Now onward to ornament placement. I will get this done!
Ah this time of year you have to either love it or despise it. I'm sure your tree will be beautiful!!!!ReplyDelete
Ahh and I was going to say how lovely it is until I read the Google Images part. No doubt it will be lovely and hopefully, you'll share it.ReplyDelete
Nothing better than a pre lit tree. I am sure you will be happy when you get yours lit. It will look so pretty.ReplyDelete
haha...hope it's all smooth sailing from here on out with the holiday tasks! It's beautiful anyway..or finally..haha.ReplyDelete
Shhh..I'm not even putting up a tree this year! I will be spending time in Colorado so I'll enjoy my kids trees instead ;) I'm looking forward to a holiday without a lot of stress.ReplyDelete
Oh, I was just going to comment how lovely your tree is when I read that small text, hihi.;)ReplyDelete
I know how tricky those lights can be at times, looking forward to see the finish tree.;))
Lights are the hardest part. It's all downhill from here, sister. And I agree. We must see the finished tree. ~ debbyReplyDelete
It looks wonderful and even with some gifts under ALREADY! GOOD FOR YOU!ReplyDelete
I don't like the white corded Christmas lights, even for outside...except against something white maybe! I so hope my tree doesn't need new lights, will know later this week!ReplyDelete
I yiyi-- Those lights are always such a hassle, but your tree is gorgeous!ReplyDelete
Happy holidays, jj
How gorgeous, and so big, we don't have a tree anymore, but our son and DIL also have a huge one too. Pop over to my etsy shop for some reductions in prices till the end of 2011ReplyDelete
Soooo pretty!! well worth the time xReplyDelete
I first looked at this post on my phone and thought that was your own tree...and thought, Wow, that's bigger than I remembered! :-)ReplyDelete
Glad it's coming along. Ours is a big, beautiful BEAST!
Your Tree is just Beautiful.ReplyDelete
My husband always does the lights, which is a good thing because I am the world's foremost tangler of anything tangleable! Hubby did the lights last weekend and the tree looks lovely. He also did the garland and the angel on top. Now I'm slowly adding the ornaments... so many memories! Even though I'm decorating alone, I feel surrounded by family, friends and the "ghosts" of my children when they were small! Merry Christmas to you!ReplyDelete
Beautiful! I always do the lights to because I have more patience. We stopped having a pre-lit tree years ago because when the lights go out it's a booger! ha haReplyDelete
