Beach Trip Sights

Today's post is show without much tell.

Morning sky

I stalked the birdies for some close ups...but they weren't having any of it.
This is as close as I could get.

Washed ashore

Parked for the evening

Catch of the day

Key lime pie for four

With strawberry sauce on top. Yummy delicious.

Overcast, dreary day....this is not a black and white photo folks.
Just a colorless day....

A good time was had by all

We're already talking about next year!

  1. I'm glad you had such a good time!

  2. The pie looks great. The sky does too in a couple of your photos.

I read that you liked drawing. I do too. Some of mine are posted on my blogs. There was a time when I did them for magazines and newspapers but not now.

    Start here:

  3. Lurve the picture of the sea shells. I wish they weren't so fragile, so you could collect whole shells instead of pieces. Looks like you hardly had any crowds either during your trip. Sweet!

  4. one of my favorite places every - glad you had a good time.

  5. Lovely, lovely photos. My favorite is "parked for the evening".

So glad you had a wonderful getaway

  6. First photo......I knew that was the Gulf coast right off. Ahhhhh, I love it too. I want some snapper now! Or maybe shrimp! Thanks for taking me with you.
PS Don't fret about that camera. Most bloggers have point and shoot cameras and blow me out of the water on a daily basis.

  7. I'm back! Just spotted Julia in the tub with her hubby! I loved that movie so much!!!! Wasn't theirs just the best love story? La sigh!!!

  8. Oh these photos depict the mood of the beach town so well. They're beautiful. I love the pie photos.. the four forks ready to devour it.. and then.. post op. ;)

  9. I'd say those photos speak for themselves! I want a piece of that pie! yum! >...yes, the WHOLE piece to sharing here!

  10. For pictures such as these, no words are needed.;) I can feel the scent of the ocean, the breeze and the tranquility...
And I can just taste that pie.;) Mmmm!

  11. I can see you had a wonderful vacation. Looks like a good beach combing area! Did you find any sea glass?

I've been to the gulf at Corpus Christi, was not long after one of the hurricanes so it looked rather battered, but I enjoyed the aquarium there.

  12. what terrific photos, sigh....soon be winter...sigh...

  13. Great job of Showing AND Telling!

  14. Even on a dull dreary day the seaside can be fun, the sea holds a certain fascination for all of us. I am glad you enjoyed your visit - and you brought home some nice photo memories.

  15. I sooo much love your pictures by the shore! These kind of scenes are so fresh and inviting for feeling peace and God's presence.Thank you!

  16. Wonderful photos!...a picture is worth a thousand words as they say...I've been to the Gulf coast in FL many a time and love it dearly...this looks just as beautiful and the Key Lime pie looks just as delicious...but sharing it four ways? I would never do it!

I'm glad you stopped by and I look forward to your comments. As Dr. Fraser Crane would say, "Hello, I'm listening."
