I haven't been to Anthropologie in ages! Gotta go soon. Love that store. My daughter shops at their gorgeous main store in Philly that is housed in an old mansion, with the original handpainted ceilings, etc. Always a treat to visit.
I have never been to an Anthroplogie store but I do love their catalogs! Beautiful window display. What a great job that would be, ah maybe in my next life. It must be so nice to be able to help your daughter when she needs you. I see that you have not made up your mind about the curtains yet. Good luck with that! Also, a little Starbucks is just what I need right now. denise
Lavinia, not really like Pottery Barn. It is very eclectic...modern and retro together. You'll find antiques from Europe there as well as clothes and bedding. There is a fine eye to detail, riotous color and pattern in everything.
I always marvel at Anthropologie's decorations! I asked a store manager once about them and she told me each store has it's own design team. They are given a theme and some suggestions by the corporate headquaters and then it's up to each store's team to make their own designs and props. They save and recycle some of them. No store is ever alike!

Their window displays always look spectacular! A treat to behold even if the prices inside are too steep.
ReplyDeleteFlights of fancy? We don't have that store up here, and I've always been intrigued by it. Is it like Pottery Barn but with clothes too?
