Mag 7

the daffodil

swaying dancers nimble
with wind timed movement
bowing low, springing back
swirl about the garden
in a sunny Conga line.

harbingers of summer's approach
hot days of fecund growth
flowers dirty dancing
in unrestricted abandon...
daffodils herald it all.

  8. This is fablous Stevie. I love the line of the "sunny Conga line". Those lines are quite visible here now. You can see where the old farmsteads were in and around the plowed fields. You wonder what stories these lines could tell about the changes in their area.

  14. "...hot days of fecund growth..."

.. a co-worker was just saying 'it snowed way more than usual, its raining way more than usual .. does this mean its going to be way hotter than usual?'

  23. You have been watching your blooms -- love that line
    hot days of 'fecund growth'
I can see them reproducing rapidly --it conjurers up the visual image of Walt Disneys - Fantasia -and the scene from Mickey The Sorcerer's Apprentice when the brooms start to divide and keep on with its 'fecund growth' and start marching in a line like your conga dancing.
Oh to think with such creativity-- really nice writing,
    Joanny
