Randomly Creative

I finally put pictures in this cute coaster set....I only got it for Christmas 3 or 4 years ago. Yep, that's right....I've had a terrible time cutting up perfectly good images to fit it. I've bought cards more than once intending to use them, but wasn't able to do it. These images are part of a set of Kort cards I picked up in Ikea when we were in Austin. I like the outcome. I'm glad I conquered this phobia.

While watching TV, I finished this baby sweater. It was supposed to be a 6 months size to fit grandchild #9, but it turned out being closer to a 12 month size. It won't be the right size for baby #9 this winter or next, so by default it will be for baby #10. It will fit her just right next year since she is due in November. And now I get to start over again on a sweater for grand #9.

When the "girls," my beach buddies, came for supper on Wednesday, one of them brought a basket of supplies for card making. We had a good time stamping, gluing and being generally creative.

I even did a little sketching, which I haven't done hardly any since I was laid off.

Speaking of laid off, I'm still looking for a job. So far none of my applications or contacts have turned into anything. I'm okay for now, but will really need to find a job shortly after the first of the year. Hopefully something good will come along before that point. I have an appointment with a personnel agency Monday afternoon.  So keep your fingers crossed. In the meantime, I'm having fun having plenty of time for friends and hobbies.

So with that said here I go again! I love the baby sweater. I wish I could crochet! The coasters look great! It must be very nice to have a group of friends named "beach girls'. 12. Stevie, you are so talented. I don't knit or do anything like that. I haven't even been writing many poems lately. I did do needlepoint at one time in my life and I really loved it but that has gone by the wayside as well. I spend so much time at my computer.

I pray you find work. I still am hoping but I'm not sure I'll be actively nursing. I never dreamed I would be a year and a half out of forensics and there is no other nursing speciality open to me at this stage of the game. I can't believe I will be 66 next Sunday. Last year, at this time, I was packing for Rome...and a Mediterranean cruise. Good thing I had paid for the whole trip before the job ended!
