Since my porch looked pitiful and I was ready for a bit of Autumn color, I made a stop at the local home improvement store for some fall color Monday afternoon.
As always I chose purple and yellow flowers. That color combination says happy to me. I bought fushia/purple, white and yellow mums, green and purple ornamental kale, as well as yellow violas and white and purple violets to dress the place up some.
After a quick photo shoot, I left him alone to realize he was okay, that his home had just had a bit of a spruce up.
All I need now is a pumpkin and a few gourds. How about you? Do you decorate for the season?
I love your color combo! And your little friend is pretty cute, too! I had on jeans, a sweater and flip flops today! haha...my pedicure is still too nice to cover up! ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely color mums, Stevie! The frog is funny! I have a praying mantis living in a flower pot that gets mad when I water it!
ReplyDeleteLove your new hint of colour!;) Yes indeed, I am off to buy my pumpkins this weekend. I always have seasonal flowers as Ilove gardening.;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and I really think the frog is cute.;)

I put yellow mums out on the front porch. No pumpkins yet. I like to wait until a little later so they last through Thanksgiving when I have company. Your porch looks pretty. The frog told me so.
ReplyDeleteI keep meaning to mention this and then I read your post and the comments and forget .. but its so amazing to me that all your grands look like you! Gorgeous. All of them.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you took full advantage of the sunlight... omg, you got a pic of me on the pole there! hee hee... that little tyke of yours is a dandy..with his hose! :) The Bach
ReplyDeleteAnd here I thought you were taking us to the doggie spa. I misread your title as "Pooch Beautification" ;) Lovely splash of colour and so sweet that little frog. I hope he settled in again before too long.
ReplyDeletethat's a funny looking frog!
ReplyDeletewe've got three pumpkins on our front porch: a cream-colored one, a huge pale orange/faded green one, and a big flattish dark orange one. The last two are called "fairytale pumpkins." fun!
I love to decorate for Fall/Halloween. SUCH FUN.
ReplyDeleteNow, the mums are lovely but that frog gives me the CREEPS! Blech!
I usually decorate for a season (not the whole house, usually the lounge which is the main room) and my bedroom and my front door - here it's Spring for a day but we've already gone straight into Summer!!! I currently have small sunflowers in a vase given to me yesterday in my lounge for the guests today.......
