the one in which she likes her Medieval Profession so much more than her real one.....

You Are a Playwright
You are a highly literate wordsmith. You love both reading and writing.
You are also a natural storyteller. You can turn a mediocre anecdote into a riveting tale.

You find people and all aspects of life fascinating. No topic is off limits for you.
In modern times, you would make a good filmmaker or novelist.

Click the link to see what your profession would have been had you lived when water was unclean and the hygiene was bad, when every fourth person died due to the Black Plague, when you could easily have died in childbirth had you been a woman, when you probably never would have never traveled more than a few miles from the place where you were born, and when dental hygiene was unheard of and rotten teeth were pulled for a price at the local market.

But hey, being a Playwright still sounds better than what I do all day now!

So what about you? What would you be doing if you had survived your perilous medieval childhood?

  1. I got the same result. But I don't like to write short stories. I chose "fighter pilot." Ha!

I think I'd write the times, be a historian...not creative enough to be a playwright!

  2. I got that I would have been a Messenger. It said I can communicate well and I'm persuasive. Actually, I do like to talk and in my job I have had to talk with people about very sensitive issues. Cute test!

Please let me know when you come back to Atlanta. I would have dropped everything and ran over to IKEA. Isn't it the neatest place?

  3. I would have been a cartographer. My modern profession is a draftsman and I love maps :-)

  4. I'm like Beth and would be a historian rather than a playwright.

  6. I would have been a messenger----or so it says. Does that mean everybody is going to shoot at me? Oh dear....

  8. I would have been an Astrologer. Cool profession, don't you think? It's amazing that we are all here today - it means a constant link of ancestors to the biginning of man despite war, plague, famine and Dr. West! This was fun, Stevie!

  13. It says I would have been a cartographer. Hmmm.

You have a wide range of knowledge and you're very detail oriented.
You have a photographic memory, and you remember places very well.

Like a middle ages cartographer, you're also very adventurous and curious about the world.
In modern times, you would make a good non-fiction writer or scientist.

  14. It says I'm a playwrite, too! And...my vacation island is Maui and I was a Creative kid. As you can see, I got stuck over on that quiz site for a while!!

  15. I got Astrologer. Woo.
Actually the 'modern' career options given sort of suit me too, "self help guru" is pretty much what I do for a living.

  16. I'd have been a playwright. So do you think that we bloggers are reincarnated playwrights who did not make it big in the medieval times?

  18. I just took the test. Pretty neat. Here is what I came up with:

    You Are a Cartographer

You have a wide range of knowledge and you're very detail oriented.
You have a photographic memory, and you remember places very well.

Like a middle ages cartographer, you're also very adventurous and curious about the world.

I'm glad you stopped by and I look forward to your comments. As Dr. Fraser Crane would say, "Hello, I'm listening."
